Whether you are experiencing a situational depression or have more chronic symptoms, there are evidence-based strategies to help.  Treating depression often requires a multi-faceted approach.  I help my clients identify and implement changes that support them in reducing and better managing depression symptoms.  Some of the interventions we might consider include:

Cognitive Restructuring:  Identifying and changing unhelpful or negative thought patterns.

Behavior Changes:  Encouraging engagement in activities that bring pleasure or a sense of accomplishment, even when motivation is low.

Mindfulness:  Focusing on the present moment rather than ruminating about the past or worrying about the future.

Lifestyle changes:  Improving sleep, reducing stress, and building a consistent daily routine.

Exercise:  Regular physical activity improves mood and boosts energy.

Social Support:  Connecting with others to reduce isolation and improve mood.

Gratitude:  Finding things in life to appreciate and feel grateful for.

Collaboration with Medical Providers:  We may work with your physician or medical provider to rule out any physical conditions that could be contributing to depression or to explore medication options.

I'll partner with you to find strategies that work for you. Reach out today for an appointment.
