Let's get started

I provide mental health therapy for adults of all ages.  With well-researched, evidence-based strategies, you can step off the treadmill and start moving in a new direction.  I use approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support and guide you in your journey.  Together, we'll craft a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.  Let embark on this adventure together.

Why Telehealth?

In this fast-paced world we live in, prioritizing mental health can sometimes take a backseat. However, with the advent of virtual therapy, professional help has never been more convenient or accessible. I use video technology to provide counseling to clients in the comfort and privacy of their homes.  Perhaps the biggest benefit is reduced time and expense needed for travel to and from appointments. In addition, many clients appreciate the convenience of participating in sessions from their homes or offices. Research has demonstrated that virtual counseling is as effective as "in person" counseling for many clients.

Counseling for Anxiety

Anxiety is the most commonly diagnosed mental health condition in the United States. It manifests as persistent worry, intrusive thoughts, and a relentless inner critic that disrupts your peace of mind. You may find yourself grappling with perfectionism or "imposter syndrome," coupled with physical symptoms like insomnia, nausea, fatigue, and rapid breathing. These challenges can hinder your personal and professional growth, affect your relationships, and even impact your overall health.

The good news? Anxiety is highly treatable.

Counseling for Trauma

Trauma is a common experience that can take many forms, including accidents, abuse or neglect, the sudden death of a loved one, violent crime, war exposure, or natural disasters.  While many people recover naturally over time, some develop long-lasting effects.  Symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can include intrusive memories, distressing dreams, flashbacks, negative changes in thinking and mood, hypervigilance, sleep disturbances, and avoidance of trauma reminders.

If it feels like your past is hijacking your future, please reach out. Professional support can guide you through the healing process and help you take back your life.

Counseling for Life Transitions

Life throws all of us curveballs.  Perhaps you’re navigating a difficult divorce, facing a job loss, or have experienced the death of a loved one. You may be facing a serious illness or have become a caregiver for a parent or spouse. Even joyous life transitions such as marriage, the birth of a child, or retirement can feel overwhelming.

If you're finding it hard to navigate these transitions alone, please reach out.  Sometimes we all need a little support.

Counseling for Depression

Depression is more than just feeling sad or having a bad day.  It can feel like an overwhelming weight, making even the simplest tasks seem insurmountable.  My clients have described it best:

“I feel worthless and can’t seem to do anything right."

“I feel guilty all the time.”

“I’m not sleeping well” or “All I want to do is sleep”.

“I can’t stop crying.”

“It feels like there is nothing good in my life.”

“I don’t feel like doing anything, and I don’t want to be around anyone.”

If these statements resonate with you, you may be experiencing depression.  Although depression can feel isolating, you don’t have to face it alone.  Reach out for help today.
